UV DTF Sticker Installation

WE PRINT STICKERS USING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY. EVERY STICKER IS DIE-CUT AND READY FOR INSTALTLLATION

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Check Surface Temperature Before Applying!

DO NOT apply this decal if the boat surface is hot to the touch or in direct sunlight (over 100°F / 38°C).

While our premium vinyl decals can handle high heat, the transfer tape (the clear or paper layer on top) cannot. If the boat's hull is too hot, the adhesive on the transfer tape will literally melt and fuse to the surface.

When you try to peel it off, the tape will refuse to let go, ripping and destroying your brand-new decal.

How to Avoid a Ruined Decal:

  • The Touch Test: If the boat hull feels warm or hot to your bare hand, stop. It is too hot to apply.

  • Move to the Shade: Always apply the decal in a shaded area or inside a garage if possible.

  • Time it Right: If you are outdoors, apply the decal in the early morning before the sun has a chance to bake the fiberglass, or late in the evening after it has completely cooled down.

  • Cool It Down: If you must apply it outside on a warm day, splash the area with cool water and dry it completely with a clean microfiber cloth immediately before application to drop the surface temperature.

Please Note: Decals destroyed by application onto a hot surface or in direct sunlight are not eligible for refunds or replacements. Take your time, let the surface cool, and get a flawless install!

What is UV DTF Sticker? ***

Professional, highresolution print quality

Will not fade, crack, or peel easily

Once applied, UV DTF stickers cannot be repositioned. To remove this sticker use a paint remover or GooGone with a sharp blade.

HOW TO APPLY A UV DTF STICKER STEP 1 – CLEAN THE SURFACE

• Clean the area using isopropyl alcohol • Remove dust, grease, wax, or oils • Let the surface dry completely

Best on smooth, hard surfaces

Do not apply to textured, rubber, or fabric surfaces

STEP 2 – POSITION THE STICKER

• The decal is sandwitched between clear films and white paper.
• Peel the top film off the white paper. It will peel together with stickers. Notice white solid surface under the sticker. It is not transparent. It is an opaque glue liner. Don't touch this liner with your fingers.
• Apply an ample amount of blue glass cleaner on to the previously cleaned surface. (We use "Fantastic" brand.
• Carefully align the design in to the final position. It will move and can be peeled away while the application surface is still wet. You have 3 minutes.

STEP 3 – APPLY & PRESS

• Position sticker in the final installation place.
• Press firmly from the center outward.
• Use your credit card (the best).
• Apply even pressure across the entire design to remove the blue glass cleaner solution and trapped air.
• Allow 1 hour for the sticker to dry. Blue glass cleaner has ammonia as its main ingredients. It dries without harming the sticker’s glue.

STEP 4 – PEEL THE TOP FILM

• Slowly peel the top clear film back at a low angle.
• The design should remain on the surface.
• If any section lifts, press it down and continue peeling.
• The sticker was printed with a glossy surface. Sometimes the printer might miss the small amount of glossy coverage at the very edge of the sticker on a single side. Use clear nail polish to fix this issue. In general We would advise to use Polyurithane to permanatly seal your sticker.

When finished, only the printed design remains

AFTER APPLICATION – IMPORTANT

• Do not wash or scrub for 24 hours
• Avoid pressure washing for 48 hours
• Once cured, the decal is permanent
• Removal may damage the surface

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

Touching adhesive with fingers. Applying to dirty or waxed surfaces. Trying to reposition after contact without glass cleaner. Applying to soft or textured materials like a vinyl.

How UV DTF stickers are printed?
The production process is as follows:

A specialized inkjet printer applies opaque white ink onto a substrate coated with a specialized adhesive. The white ink creates a silhouette of the image, followed by the application of colored inks. Once the colors are printed, the printer applies a clear varnish over the graphics. During the printing process, the image is exposed to high-intensity ultraviolet (UV) light, which cures and solidifies the inks and varnish into a single solid layer. After printing, the design moves through a laminator where a transfer film (B-film) is applied. This film picks up the printed image and the adhesive, allowing the user to peel the graphics off the backing sheet and transfer them to the desired surface.

Common applications: Boats, cars, motorcycles, glass, metal, plastic, acrylic, toolboxes, helmets, electronics, and signage.
