Your original name plate has two stickers - number and a crest.

To refinish this name plate, first clean up all vinyl still clinging to the plate. Use 600 grit sandpaper to clean all surfaces. Next degrease all surfaces. To add silver to lettering and rims use small hard sponge-type paint roller with silver paint, so the razed surfaces are covered.

There is another method.

Spread silver paint in a thin layer on a flat surface. Apply your name plate face down on to this surface by moving name plate around allowing silver paint to be in a contact with all razed surfaces. Do not flip name plate back until silver paint has dried. Some small touch-up will be required. Finish your name plate with clear Polyurethane spray. Use our sticker to complete your nameplate restoration.

The sticker(s) above are not OEM. We have designed our stickers using the latest computer graphic and modeling technology. All stickers are not recreated in their original size. Our design goal is to create a modern and sophisticated "Compact-Techno, Black Metal/Chrome or Classic" look using brushed aluminum, metal, gold, glass imitations. We start by inkjet printing each set individually using a waterproof vinyl sheet, backed by a permanent adhesive. The ink used is UV resistant DYE. After drying we use a 300F hot .5 mil. thick laminate glossy film to protect the sticker's surface. We use two types of lamination film. One for above water and one for below the water line. Like the stern drive applications and engine compartments. The below water line laminate is not as glossy but extremely rugged and requires a cold application in to the surface of the sticker. All stickers purchased from us for above water line applications should not be waxed or polished. The sticker will sustain its color and gloss finish for years to come. All our stickers must be cut because the lamination process can't be applied after die-cutting. The only lamination that can be applied after die cutting is epoxy based. The stickers with an epoxy based top are called "Domed". Domed lamination has a size limitation and are extremely expensive. All though they are very beautiful.

We can customize all stickers offered by us to your individual application for a small fee. If you do not find your boat model and would like us to make one for you, we will make one for you for $19.95. After completion, your logo will be offered in our inventory thus recouping the cost of the production.
